01

Hi! My name is Nikki Fanshaw and I’m a Brand + Web Designer based in Phoenix, Arizona, United States.

02

Outside work you will often find me enjoying a hike, stopping by the local farmers market or seeking out a new hidden gem local spot.(VIEW)

03

But on a typical workday, I am usually working on a custom Squarespace website design or building a thoughtful brand identity. (VIEW)

04

My day usually starts with coffee, an iced almond milk latte.

05

Most of the time I am working on custom website build outs.

06

What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?

The mock up process is where it really starts to come together for both myself and the client. They see all the strategy we've established leading up to it, and can visualize how their branding, photography and copy all collide into their new online home.

07

What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?

Listening to music and trying to drink lots of water.

08

How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Minimalist. Editorial. Modern.

09

Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?

Recent "Go To" List:
Pop Out Menu
Custom typography
Sticky Sections
Video Styling
Smart Section Scoping
Gliding Letters

10

What makes your work standout?

Creating bespoke custom websites with the ability for the client to edit on their own. Design meets function.

11

What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?

Backcountry BohemiansWebsite →I especially love how the super 8 film looks so good as we coded it to fill the screen and look just like a gif or image would. Nostalgia meets honest meets artistic with 90's inspired typography treatment and a focus on her work.

Some of the Standout techniques to create this website include:
Pop Out Menu
Custom typography
Sticky Sections
Video Styling
Smart Section Scoping
Gliding Letters

12

What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?

The ability to code websites to allow for flexibility on the backend for the client to edit and modify without having to pop into the CSS panel. As well as so many swoon-worthy forward-thinking (non Squarespace) layouts to use as a starting point to morph into something unexpected for my clients.

13

What is your dream website project?

A florist!
