16
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
New Money Social Club
I had so much fun working on this project. Eden Connelly Tallerico, the founder of New Money Social Club, came to me with a clear sense of her content and bold brand identity design by Cool Eye Creative. Taking my cues from the brand assets provided, I worked on a hi-fi mockup of the one-page design in Figma first, playing with scale and color while keeping accessibility at the forefront. I used the Split Carousel list workshop to highlight what a membership to New Money Social Club includes
Lazy Afternoon
I got this idea in my head for a cannabis farm / dispensary and started out working on brand identity. Part of the reason I love working in the cannabis industry is because of how fun and free the designs typically are, and with a personal project I had total freedom. I started working in Figma before refining the logo in Illustrator. I curated stock imagery from Pexels and Unsplash and then edited all the images to have an on-brand treatment. The web design was less planned out than my usual process — I designed as I built. I made use of the Top Navigation for Tabs to showcase the four strains and the Sticky/Scrolling Blog Item Layout. I learned a lot while bringing in little touches, including a custom cart icon I wound up getting rid of. I'm working on moving more of the site into fluid engine, but I love how it turned out.
17
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Play more with javascript, write cleaner and lighter code, and hone my client experience.
18
What is your dream website project?
Small businesses and service providers invested in giving back to their communities, especially artists, creative entrepreneurs, and dispensaries.

06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
friendster. oh no.. 🙈
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Exploring design direction. And what I like the most is building and coding it to live. I love the thrill and the problem solving part of building the site.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Brew another coffee. The smell of freshly brewed coffee lifts my spirit. At the end of the day/week, I reward myself with a few episodes of Kdrama.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Earthy. Modern.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Every single one of the Standout workshops is valuable in making a unique standout website. I learned a lot from Rache's thought process and how to apply that, not only limited to the workshop materials but I can use the same principles to solve other problems as well.
11
What makes your work standout?
I took time to listen to my client's problem, provide the simplest solution, and elevate it to make it look unique and stand out. Every client is different, every project is a new challenge. I am always up for any creative challenge. I am led by curiosity and skill-driven results.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Mutual Muse.
Website → As a Shopify Developer this is my proudest project. Designed by the lovely Dana from @paradise.studio.design Lots of the buildout from this site is based from my learning from Standout Squarespace and Standout Shopify. And I use lots of assets from Standout Shopify Code Toolkit that I modified so it looks like the design that Dana has.
AR15 and Under
Website →Designed by KUYA, my role in this project is the Shopify Developer. This is a non-profit project that won 2024 D&AD award for Writing in Design (Graphite Pencil)
Gaze
Website →As designer and developer, this is my proudest project. What I love about it is, the challenge of how to make Squarespace website look unique
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Rache's teaching style and materials are unique, aesthetic, and very importantly: make sense. Standout program has the best of both worlds of creativity and coding. Being a designer who loves to venture and learn more in coding, I took many coding courses and most of them were too long/too slow/too boring but not with Standout. Every module sparks interest and Rache's way of teaching makes coding make sense.
Also, the community. I met lots of new friends in Standout, and collaborate on projects and develop meaningful relationships.
14
What is your dream website project?
Be part of a project that is bigger than me.

My day usually starts with meditation, fire cider tonic + lemon water, and journaling.
05
Most of the time I am working on Squarespace web and template design. I also regularly work on brand design projects. Shopify is another platform I work in as well.
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
My first experiences with the internet were when I moved from Virginia to California. In order to stay connected with my classmates from the East Coast, I got all their emails. After that, I stayed connected with them through AIM, and eventually MySpace (my favorite social media platform ever.)
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
I LOVE to code. It's creative problem-solving. It's both a right-brained and left-brained task. I love it.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Outside of work, my biggest passion in life is cooking. You can always find me in the kitchen outside of working hours.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Otherworldly. Vibrant. Vintage/Retro.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Flexbox might be my favorite CSS trick I've ever learned. I use split screen sections all the time in my work, as well as sticky sections.
11
What makes your work standout?
The main thing about my design style that sets me apart is the process I go through in the work itself. My intuitive approach to design is my biggest unique selling point. Everything is thought out and meaningful in its own way. Everything is drawn in using my intuition and creativity. My work is art. Plain and simple.
Also, the fact that I am both a talented creative person and have strong technical development skills. When you connect with my brand, I do have a very distinct personal aesthetic. That being said, I am very open-minded when it comes to the types of design styles I take on for clients.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Carolyn Egan's Holistic Academic DevelopmentWebsite →
Natalie Brite
Website →I love this project because it showcases how a client/designer relationship can remain longstanding even after the client's personal style changes and evolves. I built this site using a template, which I learned how to create using the template module. Gemini also features a lot of split sections.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
I have learned to feel more confident writing code through these programs. This was something I always wanted to get better at, but I didn't have a chance to until I enrolled in Standout Squarespace. They changed the game for me and has given me a technical leg up on other designers in my field.
14
What is your dream website project?
I would love to design a website for someone who has created an oracle or tarot deck. Or maybe they're a shop that sells a variety of decks and other witchy items.

Hi! My name is Kaitlin Marino and I’m a Founder, Designer based in Bucks County, PA.
02
03
But on a typical workday, I am usually sitting in my pink vintage chair, sipping either coffee or matcha, working on soulful brand identities and artful websites for other creative small business owners (with Taylor Swift's Tortured Poet's Department on repeat).
04
My day usually starts with coffee on the patio with my husband (we love to watch the birds come to all of our feeders in the morning).
05
Most of the time I am working on brand strategies, brand identities, websites, or print collateral.
06
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Oh gosh, I think the very beginning of starting the design process and then the coding development. After creating a beautiful brand identity, it is so exciting to me to tell its story even further through website design - infusing page designs with the brand's typography, aesthetic, colors, and overall look and feel is so fulfilling to me. My other favorite part is diving into the technicality of the code - I grew up being very good at math so seeing ideas and designs come to life through a beautiful "language" and problem solving is another incredibly fulfilling feeling!
07
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
The occasional little treat - and that to me is a quick coffee out and another quick stop at a local vintage store ;)
08
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words?
Romantic. Otherworldly. Vintage/Retro. Earthy. Feminine. Editorial
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
To be honest, I don't think I can pinpoint just one... I have yet to go through the course from beginning to end in totality (something I look forward to doing), so I find myself weaving back and forth throughout different workshops and classes to find something that sparks a design idea for a certain project. I love incorporating touches of animation (through the typewriter effect), pop-out menus (through javascript), and many many other beautiful lessons Rache has graciously given us.
11
What makes your work standout?
I think my work stands out through its poetic, vintage, and artful charm. I infuse my work with romanticism and art the same way I do with my general lifestyle... looking at it through a poetic perspective - and I think this is seen within each project.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Photos by Gayle
Gayle and I had a vision of infusing her entire brand aesthetic with a map motif (to align her work with the "anywhere your love is" tagline. Weaving this motif throughout the site with coordinates, embossing, textures, etc. was something that was a bit outside the box and very fun to dream up.
Throughout her website build, I definitely got more skilled in coding in a lyrical and poetic manner.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
My biggest take-away from Standout Squarespace so far is learning the back-end of how things work versus just copy and pasting tweaks where needed. Prior to the course, I would google how to bring certain ideas to life and because of the program and Rache's teachings, I feel like I am really understanding the "why" and "how" behind each lesson and how to actually expand on it on my own. It's a very rewarding feeling!
14
What is your dream website project?
I would love to partner with a pottery studio and infuse a website design with organic shapes, textures, and aesthetics. I tend to partner with a ton of wedding photographers (whom I adore), but I would be so excited to transition even further into some other creative businesses who create art as well.

07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
You receive a personalized, down-to-earth experience and an elevated website that help you expand and attract the kinds of connections and opportunities you're looking for. ✨
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Delicious little snacks - dried mango, blueberry kombucha, pistachios, mmmmmm.....
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Feminine. Earthy. Vintage/Retro.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Split Sections, Sticky Sections and Animate on Scroll
11
What makes your work standout?
I have a unique blend of artistic and technical balance, so I not only envision unique and beautiful designs, but I can also execute them in a technically advanced way.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Nenah.Eve
Website →My favorite website i've ever built is my own website. I started with brand strategy to clarity my audience and my offers, and then I created a sitemap and wireframe. From there, I designed the website on Figma and then developed it in Squarespace. I used more Standout techniques than I can count, including moveable blocks, split sections, sticky sections, images on hover, timelines, Flodesk integrations, and more.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
So much can be learned when you have access to clear, well-organized resources and a responsive, supportive community.
14
What is your dream website project?
I'd love to create a website for a popular music artist! I'd also love to develop a brand for a flower farmer.

09

10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Slide-out Menu, Horizontal Scrolling Gallery, and Split Gallery.
11
What makes your work standout?
We champion creative collaboration. We understand the power of storytelling. A brand goes beyond visuals; it's a narrative that connects with your audience on an emotional level. We demonstrate an appreciation for the diverse needs of creatives.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Fromage Studio - My personal website - It's been an every-evolving work of art since I started my business in October 2023! I've been designing websites on Squarespace for about 8 years so I knew it was the platform I'd use - I started by finding inspo on Pinterest and instagram (actually found @squarestylist right off the bat). I've basically been building and tweaking my website every month. Right now I've implemented the Slide out menu, horizontal scrolling gallery, and movable blocks.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
We don't deserve you, Rache & Team! You constantly give and think of new ways to make us better. The way my websites have totally been elevated since starting this program (and I haven't even finished yet) is insane. Thank you!
14
What is your dream website project?
My dream website project definitely includes interactive storytelling. Interactive elements could allow visitors to explore the creative process behind each piece, perhaps through videos or behind-the-scenes sketches. Imagine a 360-degree view of a jeweler's workspace

04
My day usually starts with coffee.
05
Most of the time I am working on branding, custom Squarespace websites, and print design projects
06
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
I love both the design and development phases on building websites, but one of my favorite parts of the process is seeing how, through the process of thinking through their site, my clients often get to see their business in a new way, identify new opportunities, and get excited about what they do all over again. A new website can (and should) be so much more than "just" a website for a new, growing, or established business.
07
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Quick little mid-coding dance to Iggy Pop's The Passenger or Chappell Roan's Pink Pony Club at my desk.
08
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Bold. Vintage/Retro. Creative.
09
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
It varies from project to project. I typically don't cut and paste a similar style or technique between different sites. Each project has a specific goal and a personalized story, meaning every final product is ultimately unique. As a member of the first Standout class ever offered, I've found that Standout solutions are all adaptable and my use of the skills learned in the course have evolved over the years.
10
What makes your work standout?
No design decision is made without careful thought rooted in strategy. I don't chase trends and I don't design sites on a whim. I ask the right questions of my clients and engage in a collaborative process with them to ensure the final product is effective and representative of how their business should be seen.
11
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Standout doesn't need to represent a specific look or style, it's about thinking outside the box, knowing the platform and the code well enough to know how to push the boundaries of your designs, and coming up with creative and intuitive solutions in both design and development. I don't design sites with the intention of replicating the course's style or someone else's work, but rather use the tools from the course to create something entirely unexpected.
12
What is your dream website project?
Current dream industries include classical music, travel, food and beverage, equestrian businesses, and more. I work with a wide range of industries, and I can honestly say that each new project is always an educational and inspirational adventure.

What makes your work standout?
My work is always clean and intuitive, but I like to add something whimsical to everything I build-- something that perks your eyebrow up and makes you think, '"ooh, that's nice"

What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
My own website is probably my proudest website build so far, easyoriginals.com. For this one my process has been a bit ongoing, since it's my own website. As I learned more about Squarespace, I improved my website more and more. Some standout workshops I used are: wavy marquee, sticky sections, split sections, and I also had to do some javascript deep diving to figure out the menu stick/scroll feature.

What is your dream website project?
I do a lot of service-based businesses right now, but I'd love to get into more product-based e-commerce websites. Craft cannabis or distillery, a funky ceramicist, a slow fashion brand, or a fun kids brand would all be amazing to work on and allow for something really fun and different!
